L'Ecume des Mers was built in 1983, and has been lovingly maintained since present ownership began in 1985. She is a Moody 36S, 36 feet long with 8 berths. For comfortable cruising, the number of crew is limited to 5, plus the Skipper. Owing to the intelligent use of space, there is a substantial saloon area, with an adjoining well-equipped galley, including fridge and oven. Accommodation is provided in 2 double aft berths, 2 berths in the forward cabin and 2 single berths in the saloon. Each cabin provides storage space and a hanging locker. A toilet, hot running water and washing facilities are all provided on board. |

The navigating area is equipped with as much modern gadgetry as you could wish for - radar, GPS, chart-plotter and DSC radio. However, these provide a back up to our traditional means of navigation and pilotage using paper charts and compasses. A high level of safety is primordial on board any sailing vessel and L'Ecume des Mers is no exception. She is kitted with a 6-man life raft, flares, lifejackets, EPIRB and GMDSS. Your safety whilst on board is our prime concern and a full safety briefing is provided by the Skipper at the beginning of every cruise. |
